Pain d’Avignon is a small business with a serious passion for the craft of bread and pastry making, and for the enjoyment of eating them. We produce fresh breads and pastries daily from our commissary in Long Island City for our clients, as well as our three retail locations at Dekalb Market Hall, Moxy Times Square, and Essex Street Market. We are seeking passionate and dedicated mixers to join the team and produce breads that follow our core integrity: simple, natural, fresh. Experience preferred but we will also train the right candidate. We offer competitive compensation, health benefits and room for growth. Pay starts at $17 per hour, and is based on experience. Responsibilities: Mixer shift begins as early as 4am. The Mixer need to meet the daily production goals for baked goods. That means preparing the dough, letting it bulk ferment. Mixers will produce according to recipes provided and will ensure that the products produced in the bakery meet our quality standards while maintaining a clean and sanitary food area. Be passionate about the food industry with a strong interest in high quality products Strong organizational and decision-making skill, along with the ability to recognize what needs to be prioritized.
