Description
Pain d’Avignon is a small business with a serious passion for the craft of bread and pastry making, and for the enjoyment of eating them. We produce fresh breads and pastries daily from our commissary in Long Island City for our clients, as well as our three retail locations at Dekalb Market Hall, Moxy Times Square, and Essex Street Market.
We are seeking new team members to join our overnight packing team. No experience required. We will train.
Responsibilities:
Mark and label containers, container tags, using marking tools.
Places baking goods into plastic creates racks, bags and boxes.
Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting.
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor.
Maintains clean, organized and safe work area, including wiping and washing equipment, tools, containers, sweeping and mopping floors; and trash removal.
Check equipment daily to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations and perform proper maintenance and daily cleaning.
Break down cardboard for recycling.
Assist drivers with loading vans.
Flexibility in working weekends, early morning hours and holidays
Physical Requirements
Able to lift 50 Pounds
Able to be on their feet for 8 hours
