WHAT: Pool Party, is an intentionally inclusive event for BIPOC individuals to enjoy the water space. Food, music, and vibes collide for a memorable daytime occasion and the experience will be designed to be laid back and reminiscent of the pool parties loved and looked forward to during our youth. Tickets are available HERE for a suggested $20 donation going back to Tankproof WHEN + WHERE: Saturday, July 1 in New Orleans, LA at the critically acclaimed, St. Vincent Hotel  WHY: Essence Fest is the largest yearly music festival in the U.S. that celebrates African-American culture. The event was originally planned as a one-time event to celebrate the silver jubilee of  Essence Magazine. Famous as ‘the party with a purpose,’ the event’s success encouraged the organizers to make it into an annual music festival. The main idea behind the event is to empower and offer a platform to musicians, artists, speakers, and entrepreneurs of the African-American community. Around 500,000 people touchdown in New Orleans every year to attend this festival.
