Let’s have a conversation about a Fort Wayne rock band composed of five authentic and innovative musicians who bring a youthful edge to classic sounds. Playing a mix of classic cover songs and hard core originals, they’re a band that knows how to speak to their audience with high-energy performances at venues such as The Muse on Main, The Ruin, and Sweetwater Sound. Enjoy the euphonic experience of solid bass locked together with on-point drumming, forming a firm foundation for driving guitars, melodic keys, and soaring vocals complimented by sweet harmonies. By bringing five distinct voices to form one harmonious musical conversation, The Conversationalists give new meaning to the phrase “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” BANDMATE BIOS: • Luke Kern — Luke Kern is the lead guitarist of the band, heavily influenced by blue and hard rock. His “Big Three” include Jimi Hendrix, Slash, and Zakk Wylde. • Dillon Turner — Dillon Turner plays drums and several other percussion instruments. Bands he is greatly influenced by include Rush, Tool, Steely Dan, Dream Theater, and Led Zeppelin. He describes his sound as situational. • Lucas Record — Lucas Record is the bassist for The Conversationalists, but that doesn’t stop him from playing drums and guitar as well. His biggest influences come from the many subgenres of metal such as thrash, death, and prog. • Ava Mondok — Ava Mondok, lead vocalist for The Conversationalists, is inspired by the works of female vocalists such as rocker Pat Benatar and indie Amy Lee. Her signature powerful yet melodic vocals deliver tones to the band. • Ellie Mondok — Ellie Mondok, the keyboardist of the Conversationalists, draws inspiration from the likes of 60s-80s classic rock such as The Beatles and Billy Joel. Having also been classically trained in piano, she bring a unique blend of classical and rock elements to The Conversationalists.
