This is the seventh year for our annual conference, which brings together educators, therapists, administrators, parents, and AAC communicators for networking, sharing resources, celebrating successes, and working through challenges. This year's program, "It Takes Two to Tango: Perfecting Essential Partner Skills for AAC Success", is presented by Deidre Dobbels and Kelly Key, speech-language pathologists and AAC specialists, with years of classroom experience. Learn essential skills to develop and nurture meaningful relationships with AAC communicators. This hands-on workshop provides evidence-based implementation strategies you can use to support communication and language development for those using AAC. Tickets: Early Bird $75, until June 1 General Registration $90, from June 2 through August 31 Late Registration $125, from September 1 through September 16 Schedule:Friday, September 23 8 – 8:30 AM (EST) - Registration 8:30 – 4:00 PM (EST) “It takes Two to Tango: Perfecting Essential Partner Skills for AAC Success.” Presenters: Deidre Dobbels, AAC Specialist/Speech-Language Pathologist, is employed by Community High School District #155 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Kelly Key, Assistive Technology Facilitator, is employed by Barrington Community Unit School District #220 in Barrington, Illinois. Both speakers present extensively on the topics of AAC, core vocabulary, complex needs, literacy, and assistive technology throughout the United States. A Certificate of Attendance will be provided at the end of the day. FAQsDo I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes, you must bring your printed ticket to enter. Is my ticket transferrable? Yes. Simply sell or give it to someone else; they must bring it to the event. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes. Do you accept purchase orders? No, unfortunately, we cannot accept purchase orders to pay for tickets. Credit/debit cards are required to purchase tickets. Will lunch be provided? Yes, all Attendees will be provided with a box lunch and drinks, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. There are no vending options on-site, so you are welcome to bring your own snacks, coffee, etc. What are my parking options? There is plenty of free parking at the venue. Are there hotels near the IMMI Conference Center? Hotels are available in Westfield, Carmel, Indianapolis, Noblesville, and Kokomo. How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
