This training is sponsored by the Jackson County Suicide Prevention Coalition, United Way, Jackson County Mental Health and funding provided by Providence. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an internationally recognized Evidence Based suicide prevention training program. The full 2-day program will teach participants how to recognize invitations for help, reach out and offer support, apply a suicide intervention model, review the risk of suicide, and link people with community resources. This training is valued at over $200 and is being offered for no cost to participants thanks to funding from Providence medical group, so register early as attendance is limited.
