About Shundra Brown Principal Shundra Brown is excited to share tips and tools for school transformation. She has presented for HAABSE, ASCD, and the Ron Clark Explosion conference. More recently, she was named Spring ISD’s 2022 Secondary Principal of the Year. Shundra earned her Bachelor’s Degree of General Studies in 2009; the Master of Arts in Teaching in 2010; and the Master of Arts in Educational Administration in 2012. As the founder and director of School Turnaround Solutions LLC, Shundra has worked tirelessly to build schools that inspire and equip students to boundlessly pursue their wildest dreams. As a middle and elementary school principal, Shundra Brown led the turnaround of four different Texas urban schools, including The Weiss School of Leadership, which went from a low-performing school in need of improvement to a world-renowned Lighthouse School. Currently, she is leading school transformation at The Bailey School for Performing and Visual Arts within the Spring Independent School District. Her leadership at this campus resulted in student achievement gains that improved the campus accountability rating from an “F” to a “C” despite the challenges presented by pandemic. Prior to coming to Spring ISD, she led campus transformation at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She previously served as a middle school assistant principal, high school house principal, and elementary principal in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She was recognized as as Cedar Hill NGC’s Teacher of the Year in 2011. Her experiences with school turnaround inspired her to create a “Turnaround Tool Kit” for school systems, school leaders, and teachers who are charged with the task of school transformation
