In the past eight years Dr. Safari has collaborated with several organizations globally that are active in the field of women's empowerment, but after finishing her PhD research on empowering women, Dr. Safari is determined to utilize tools from her research to take empowerment to its next level. That’s how her nonprofit organization, Climb Your Everest (CYE) was born. CYE’s goal is to provide educational programs that empower marginalized women across the globe. This event will include the future vision for CYE as well as project overviews. In line with her past 6 summits, Dr. Safari climbed Mount Everest to bring funds and awareness to women's empowerment. This was her 2nd attempt at Everest after her 1st attempt in 2015 was interrupted by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake, for which she successfully raised more than $1 per foot of Everest's elevation. I have the honor of being the 1st Iranian to have summited the 7 highest mountains of each of the 7 continents in the world, AKA the Seven Summits.
