Description

Celebrate the fantastic Camp Reel Stories Session 1 Filmmakers by watching the first official screening of their short films at the Albany Twin Theater! Four short films will be screened - each one was made in just 10 days! Camp Reel Stories participants worked in groups of 4-6 filmmakers with producers guiding them through every step. Limited tickets will be available at the event. All filmmakers are allowed to bring 3 guests for FREE. There are also paid tickets available with sliding scale prices for your additional guests. Youth filmmakers do not need a ticket to attend! If you are planning on attending, please register ASAP so that you can be guaranteed a spot in the audience. We also recommend to arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in with our registration table and find your seats. COVID-19 Safety All guests will be required to wear face masks at all times unless they are actively eating or drinking. Filmmakers and speakers will be allowed to take off face masks while speaking on stage, and will be asked to put face masks back on once seated again. If you are feeling sick or have a known exposure to COVID-19, we ask that you do not attend this screening. All of the films created will be available on YouTube a few weeks after the summer camp ends, so if you miss the screening, you'll still be able to watch the films. Transportation/Parking The Albany Twin Theater is accessible from the 72 and 18 bus lines. The Albany Twin is a 20 minute walk from the El Cerrito BART Station. There is free street parking on Solano Avenue, San Pablo Avenue, and surrounding residential streets. Please be courteous when parking on residential streets, since some of the surrounding streets can be a bit narrow! There is also a small parking lot located behind the Albany Twin Theater on Kains Avenue. Accessibility We will be using Theater 1 for our screening, which is on the ground level. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance to the theater on Kains Avenue. If you need assistance finding or using this entrance, please ask the Reel Stories Staff who will be outside of the theater. There is also an ADA accessible bathroom. If you have any accessibility questions, please contact Grace Patterson at [email protected].
