want to start a band??

TL;DR: i play guitar and bass, most confident with guitar (most experience w/lead guitar but rhythm works for me too), happy to play either. just want to find a group of 18-23ish ppl (i’m 19) who are down to jam and see what happens. reach out if you’re lgbtq+ friendly, in that age range, play any of the above instruments, and want to make music lol. ideally you would have a practice space as i very much don’t, but if you don’t that’s fine if we vibe we can figure it out lmao. otherwise if you already have a band and are looking for any guitar/bass hmu! my music taste varies but here’s an arbitrary list anyways (in no particular order): nova twins, danzig(and misfits ofc lol), at the drive in, fugazi, black sabbath, new order + joy division, my chemical romance, a place to bury strangers, smashing pumpkins, nirvana, concrete blonde, black flag, bauhaus, the distillers, johnny cash, the offspring, placebo, the damned, queen, interpol, bad religion, the cure, the rolling stones, the smiths, franz ferdinand, led zeppelin, etc etc etc many more you get the idea, if you like more than 5 on this list i say we’re good lmao. now for even More rambling (Optional read): look this is kinda a desperate measure, just moved here, know next to no one, and want to make noise again (with like minded musicians lol). i don’t really care what your experience is or what instrument you play. if it helps to know, i’ve played guitar + bass for about 8 years but i’ve been slacking recently so really only count 6ish of those years. played in a couple bands, only one of which was actually serious and played gigs, but i have experience working with other musicians of varying skill and practice with others lmao. i don’t think i’m a guitar god whatsoever but i’m confident in my ability to write and play music where i’m at now. if you have no experience playing with others idgaf, if you haven’t been playing for very long i really don’t care, all i’m hoping for is to find a few ppl who are passionate about music and willing/able to put the time and energy necessary into a band. it doesn’t have to start out serious nor should it become so much so it stops being fun. but i hope to find a group of ppl that can eventually have our own songs and play gigs. looking for confident but not egotistical bastards basically. happy to explore different genres of music but want to stick under the rock category generally lol. if any of this sounds like you don’t hesitate to reach out!!
