Great day to you all ! My name is "Spider Fingers" Rob I have played and played. Now, it is time to get to work, " Playing The Plues ". I have been a guitarist for 40 years, and have been an associate of the blues for about 33 years. I have played on the streets around the Bay Area playing tunes by the greats such as Howlin' Wolf, Lightnin ' Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon, Sonny Boy Williamson and many more. When I heard and saw Buddy Guy, a huge smile come over me. I came to realize that playing the blues, I mean real blues, down in the gutter heart felt blues, that yeah, playing the blues and singing it out loud can be fun! I have always put music above all else, this passion runs deep! I have become a decent jazz guitar player, but to perform and relate to people on a real level, man, this is where it's at ! I have been to many many concerts, I have been to a very good handful shows performed by the great blues men. I lived an hour outside of Chicago, yes, iv'e been to Buddy Guys' Legends. At a Clarence Gatemouth Brown concert at The Great American Music Hall, Clarence asked the audience if anyone would like to try what he'd just played, I jumped up and said "I Do", sort of like a marriage vow to the blues. It was in me and he got me to come out, "and I felt so good,I was boogian in the house. When I got to the stage, Clarence handed me his guitar and said, " I'm going to like this ".Clarence took my seat in the audience, the band started swinging and within about 3 seconds, I was swingin' living out my dream which had lasted about 38 seconds. The band stopped all of a sudden because I am sure that Clarence having an audience member participate was just a gimmick. I handed Mr. Brown his heavy guitar back, and he said to me, " you ain't getting paid for that ? Man, I walked off that stage very, very proud. Someone in the audience asked if I was part of the show. I have nothing but respect for the " Real" Blues. The time, the effort, the heartfelt sincerity. Enough about me. I am seeking a drummer and a bass player who share the passion I have for the blues. I am no rocker though I do like to play in the style of Hound Dog Taylor, and electric Homesick James. I want to start a original band which boasts living integrity, cause I'm going to tell you how it is. Serious musicians only. I want to perform around the Bay Area immediately.
