Join the 40-piece Florida Symphonic Winds WInd Ensemble (FSW) for a FREE concert as they perform their 2022 European Tour repertoire just days before leaving for concerts in Austria and Germany. Saturday, July 16, 4:00PM at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 3240 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, Florida. The concert is free, donations are appreciated. Comprised of professional and amateur musicians from all over Florida, and under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Traster (Director of Bands & Music Education Emeritus; University of Tampa), the FSW leave for ten-days in Europe on July 22, representing Florida with concerts in Salzburg (2) & Vienna, Austria, then also in Rothenburg & Retzbach, Germany. Their tour is 18-months in the making, sponsored by the Dunedin Music Society (www.dunedinmusicsociety.org) bringing together some of the area's finest professional and community musicians to form this outstanding touring ensemble. Saturday's concert will showcase the ensembles talent and features: The Magnificent Seven by Bernstein (arr by Phillippe) A Leroy Anderson Portrait arr by Barnes The Liberty Bell by Sousa Way Down by Jeffrey Traster (our conductor) Fanfare to "The Hammer" by O'Toole FInlandia by Sibelius (arr by Hindsley) Superman Suite by John WIlliams, arr by Lowden Beautiful by Traster Under The Double Eagle by Wagner (arr by Glover) Waltz Number 2 by Shostakovich (arr by De Meij) Hoagy Carmichael: An American Classic arr by Kessler This is the same program the ensemble will be performing in their five European concerts abroad.
