TEWKSBURY, MA — The Tewksbury Police Department will be deploying its Ice Cream Unit today, serving free ice cream to celebrate the first day of summer and the last day of school. The Ice Cream Unit is a product of the police and fire departments, the library and the parent advisory committees working together to bring some "free family fun" to Tewksbury, according to a flyer. The festivities will start at Livingston Street Park between 12:30 and 2:15 p.m., with a visit from Officer Waffles and Doctor Brownie, the police department's comfort dogs. Last day of school, first day of summer, and we are giving out free ice cream! What's better than this? Lt. Williams is loading up! 😀 pic.twitter.com/px9kUZSfqI— Tewksbury Police (@TewksburyPD) June 21, 2022 The truck will head to Trahan School around 2:30, Heath Brook at 3, North Street School at 3:30 and Dewing at 4.
