PORT WASHINGTON, NY — The chance of hitting a hole-in-one is 12,500 to 1. But one Long Island man managed to beat the odds, sinking his first hole-in-one at Port Washington's Harbor Links Golf Course.
What's even better: it happened on Father's Day.
The outing took a thrilling turn while John Piscotta and his teenage son were at the 12th hole. That's when the younger Piscotta whipped out his phone and began filming.
"As teenagers, they film things and you don't even know you're on camera. I didn't even know I was being recorded," Piscotta told Patch. "When I got to the hole, there was no ball on the green ... I was like, holy cow that's incredible!"
Piscotta, who grew up in Port Washington, now lives with his family in Farmingdale.
