Working cover band seeks lead guitarist
Meets
Bethlehem PA
Description
We’re a working 6-piece cover band with gigs scheduled through December, and we are looking for a solid lead guitarist! ABOUT US - Our current lineup includes a female lead vocalist, male bassist / lead vocalist, male rhythm guitarist / lead vocalist, male keyboardist, and male drummer. - We play music spanning six decades — popular rock, pop, and dance hits you’d expect to hear at a local bar from the 60’s through today. It’s not uncommon to go from Adele to Journey to Pink to The Outfield. Our view is that we entertain hard and we play what people want to hear and dance to. - We currently gig approximately twice per month, targeting venues within an hour of the Lehigh Valley. We aim to slightly increase this, but we are mindful that some members are in other projects, which we respect. - We aim to practice twice a month once a lead guitarist is up to speed on set lists. Practices are usually weekend mornings/early afternoons due to work schedules. We practice in Bethlehem. - We are all working professionals in our mid 30’s through 60’s. We genuinely enjoy playing together and are invested in seeing this project be successful. - We have sound and lights, and we play and practice with in-ear monitors. ABOUT YOU - You’re a really solid technical guitarist. You can play solos in songs like Sweet Child and Separate Ways, but you’re not afraid to support the rhythm guitarist while he’s singing lead vocals. - You’re a team player. You’re easy-going, have a sense of humor, and genuinely love to play with other musicians. You’re not a track purist — we don’t need to sound exactly like the track in most cases… but we DO need to be tight with a full sound. You’re flexible and can follow someone. Our lead singer reads the crowd in real-time and adjusts the set list accordingly. You’re comfortable with this, including non-verbal communication while playing live. - You have time for this project and can commit to it. - You’re comfortable with in-ear monitors, own a set, and are willing to use them. We don’t use external monitors on stage. - Bonus Points - nice, but not required - You can contribute vocally (lead or backup). NEXT STEPS - If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Please send us your name, email, location, a sentence or two about you, names of former band(s), and a link to a video of you playing. - Once you’re in touch directly, we’d be happy to share more details about us, including our Facebook page and videos of us playing. - If it’s a potential match, we will send you a set list and ask which songs you might know, and then ask you to prepare 6-8 songs and join us at an upcoming practice. Thanks - we can’t wait to meet you!
