CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — Armed with a crowbar, two men entered a jewelry store at Chicago Ridge Mall, where they smashed cases and stole jewelry in what police described as a "smash and grab," police said. Around 3:47 p.m. June 12, mall security video showed four men entering the Chicago Ridge Mall through the east side Aldi entrance. Police said the four men went into Kay Jewelers, taking $180,000 worth of jewelry. While two suspects smashed a display case with a crow bar, the other stood outside as look-outs. The four ran and entered a black Chrysler 300 with no front plate, police said. Watch the video. Chicago Ridge police are asking anyone who saw the suspects, or may know their identity to call the investigations divisions at 708-425-7831.
