The traffic stop responsible for Leo's arrest happened at 8:50 p.m. near Fourth Avenue and South Chicago Street because the Alsip woman disobeyed a stop sign, Joliet police noted.
The driver advised there was marijuana in her vehicle and officers observed a rolled cannabis cigar in the ashtray, according to police.
After Leo stepped outside the car, officers recovered a loaded 9 mm handgun from his waistband and a small plastic bag containing multiple rounds of ammunition from his pocket, police announced.
Leo was placed into custody without incident. The serial number had been defaced from the gun Leo had, police reports show. As for Grice, she was cited and the vehicle was towed, Joliet police indicated.
