General Job Description *This position is responsible for keeping the physical structure and appearance of the facility in good repair. Involves painting and application of related materials. Maintains inventory of these materials. Job Roles *Assist with and mixes paint and other materials needed for repair and maintenance of facility. *Assist with prepping areas for painting by patching, sanding, and applying the correct texture so the repair is not visible after painting. Finish work is free of brush strokes, roller marks, roller fuzz, skips or thin areas. Edges are straight and free of slop over. Metal items are cleaned to remove rust and grease prior to painting. *Assist with prepping for the, service, and repair interior and exterior painted surfaces, painted surfaces on equipment and furniture, signs, parking areas, and street markings, and wallpaper and other wall coverings. *Perform minor maintenance and repairs as assigned. *Performs other duties as assigned. *Responsible for proper usage, maintenance, and storage of Facilities tools and supplies. Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations *High School Diploma or GED Required. *Requires an active California driver's license for the class required for operation of assigned vehicle; DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Age 18; Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving with 7 years. Must have reliable truck or utility van; drives own vehicle on a daily basis around San Diego County. Experience/Specialized skills (including Language) *Ability to follow both written and oral instructions in English. *Basic computer literacy (i.e., use system to manage and schedule appointments, access electronic medical record information). *Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
