Description

If you are looking for a laid back drummer, who handles his business and has chops, I'm your guy. I am moving to the Boise area from Spokane at the end of June. I'm a drummer of 31 years. My playing fortes are funk/jazz/R&B/prog rock. However, I've been gigging in blues/classic rock/country for the last 18 years. Those are often the gigs that pay and keep me busy. I've played hundreds of gigs in various genres. I've done fill in gigs with no rehearsal, full production gigs with backing tracks as well as original bands. While paid gigs are always ideal, I really just want to play music with people I enjoy being around. I'm not really interested in working with band leaders who are strict and hard to work with. I'm a very serious player and care about preparation and professionalism, but some band members make it very difficult to be around. I have a serious career that will be my priority during normal business hours. I'm married with a young daughter, so I have priorities. However, I have an intense passion for music and want to play as much as I can. I'm used to gigging about 3-5 per month with rehearsals sprinkled in there. I have 3 drumsets that I use to cater to styles and venues, full PA, mics, recording equipment and reliable transportation. I play several other instruments proficiently and can sign harmonies and lead if needed. I can play pretty much any style, except for extreme technical metal. I would need to physically ramp up for about 6 months to build endurance for that style. Here is my Bandmix profile: https://www.bandmix.com/taylor-reed/ I can also send recordings via email. Serious inquiries only please. No start up bands unless the genre and people are right :) If you are a melody instrument and don't know what intervals are, I'm not your guy. Hope to meet some good people soon!
