Today is Baker's last day! He will be put down if not adopted by 6pm tonight. BAKER: #A4717411 is a 3-yr.-old neutered, brindle and white American Pit Bull Terrier (50.7lbs.). He has been at the shelter since early April and is struggling from long periods of kennel confinement. He is SO STRESSED that he licks the kennel walls and gate throughout the day. Baker needs a little coaxing to interact but likes petting all over once near a handler. Even though he is struggling now, he continues to be easy to take from and return to his kennel. He pulls on-leash but does much better when a harness is used. He tends to pull towards other dogs when they are close by. Sociability with dogs is unknown. If there are dog(s) in the home…Baker would need to be initially kept separate with a SLOW introduction.
