No, that's because they're retarded. You've hit on one of our nasty little secrets. The steel, oil and coal Industries.. Have all fought for years with the republicans to maintain controll over the US. Making them the natural enemy of anyone trying anything new that would eventually free us from their grip. When we try to get things going that will lead to alternatives one day. The oil and steel industries punish us until the people can't take it any more. And drive the dems out. They have the money it takes to do this for decades if nessesary. Well that's politics as usual. But he coal industry is a different. They're the poor step child of the behind the scenes powers that keep Americans. Down, poor, ignorant, and enslaved. And 10% of the south relies on it. So while both sides use propaganda. With truths, half truths and lies. Publicly. Behind the smoke screen. They'll promote any industry that keeps it going. Even if they're against the products publicly.. All new ideas are wastful in the beginning. But have to get started. To attract investors or public interest. To get enough money behind it to do better, cheaper, faster. Alternative fuel sources are no different. But at the same time we can't let too much of any supporting industry fall or half of the country goes bankrupt. Without support for the coal industry. We would have a civil war on our hands. And maybe rightly so. Because it would set the (already 100 years behind the rest of the world south) back another 100 years. At that point the artificial gap that they create and maintain to keep Americans focused on fighting each other and not on what they're doing. Would loose a lot of its power and controll. This in itself is causing a new set of problems. The dems would love nothing more than to have it all out in the open and be free of it finally no matter how much it cost. (Fights for freedom have no limits.) But would only substitute their industies and interest. The reps can't have it. And must fight to stop it. Or they'll all go broke because the big industries would see it all destroyed and start over. Before they would ever give in and loose the grip and power they have. So they will have no limits as to what they'll do. And can always make it look like who ever is in office the one causing it. Because that's how their side has been brainwashed. Making it a fight for freedom from the crazies. But in the meantime. Coal has to be supported. Not matter what either side says about it or anything around it. It's just a fact of life. We can't just dump the coal industry and both sides secretly know it. The rest of what you hear is just political bullshit for the unwashed masses. Stop bying into the crap. Its just to parties backed by different interest. Vying for controll over the other. And each side has groomed its pets of the population to grow up with ideals that's causes them to hate each other. This gives them the arguments to stand on. It's what they do. It's what they have always done down through history. It's the only tool humanity has besides war. And in itself is a war just not with tanks and battleships. Truth is sides are being drawn all over the world. The libs will put us with the gathering free nations. And in the end a sharing. Very much Iike a softer communism. The right. Is in alignment with. The we'll make our own rules. Or authoritarian rule. That's more in line with leader run governments much like Russia or china. All you have to do is pick up a book on human history. This is how it goes for these two sides. This is how it has always gone. And these two sides today aren't anywhere near as sophisticated as the people from the past. They're like little children. They've fallen for all of the tropes and gags hook line and sinker. Never think for a moment. That whatever side comes into power publicly. That the fight is over. It's never over. Because both sides need, foster and create it. Big power and money will never stop on either side. And in reality there is only one big big group in charge of it all. When the right comes into power It will eventually lead to dictatorships that kill millions and crumble from within as they always turn on themselves. And people try to get free of it. When the left comes into power. They voluntarily give up rights. To make things go better for a wider variety of people. Building a society that can last a long time. But the religious can no longer tollerate. Then it falls into a religious war rather than an economic one. Then the big powers take advantage of that. And it kills in smaller bunches. For thousands of years. These are now and always have been humans only answer. Trust me I know. My first car walked on its hind legs and was eaten by a T-rex. (And yes they had feathers.)
