Preferred Cartage Service is currently looking for yard spotters (a.k.a. shaggers) to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will be able to use a shag truck to back trailers in and out of the dock as well as maintaining the orientation of trailers on the lot. Able to operate computer tablet 2. Maintaining a clean and neat working environment 3. Operating shag truck to move trailers on JBS lot 5. Keeping shag trucks clean internally & externally as needed Job Skill Requirements and Qualifications 1. Must be at least 18 years of age 2. Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR 3. Willing to work as needed to get the job done 4. Must be a team player and work with minimal supervision 5. Customer service and detail oriented 6. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 7. Physical stamina and good upper body strength to get in/out of trucks frequently, will require a great deal of walking 8. Read, write and communicate in English effectively 9. Able to operate and move trailers with shag truck 10. Working environment will be wet/damp, noisy, hot/cold and dusty 11.
