Florida Democratic Coordinated Campaign – Field Organizer The Florida Democratic Coordinated Campaign is seeking passionate and committed Field Organizer applicants across the state. Field Organizers are vital to the success of our voter contact efforts. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of voter outreach teams. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting and training volunteers, organizing events, and representing the party at community events. This is an in-person position that will require travel throughout an assigned turf. Field Organizers will report to Regional Organizing Directors Job Requirements: Primary Job Responsibilities ● Identify, recruit, and train groups of volunteers to conduct voter contact, registration and more ● Lead/train volunteers through the various phases of the campaign ● Ensure accurate collection and entry of data ● Provide the Regional Field Director with quantitative and qualitative reports as part of an ongoing evaluation of the program’s success ● Cooperate with County Party leaders to achieve shared goals and grow local organizations ● Hit all metrics/goals for volunteer recruitment, voter contact and other program elements ● Support local Democratic organizations by keeping office hours and lending help when available ● Demonstrate proficiency in tools provided by the party to execute voter contact program goals ● Recruit and train canvassers to execute voter outreach activities ● Provide canvass teams with the positive leadership culture, resources, guidance and technical support required to succeed during each phase of the program while ensuring compliance with all policies and best practices ● Ensure that all canvasses are launched and completed in a timely, orderly fashion ● Communicate all pertinent on-the-ground information to, and provide timely response to requests from, the canvassers under your direction ● Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Field Director Key Requirements ● Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills ● Ability to interact with canvassers/petitioners with a wide variety of backgrounds. ● Valid driver license and access to reliable transportation ● Access to a laptop and cell phone ● Organizational and time-management skills ● Familiarity with Field or Community Organizing ● A strong commitment to the values of the Democratic Party ● Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach. ● Willingness to work long hours and weekends ● Ability to relocate as needed Preferred Qualifications ● Proficiency in VoteBuilder (VAN) and other direct voter contact tools ● Proficiency in Google Workplace ● Proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole or other language ● We will have positions in diverse communities throughout Florida and welcome applicants who are members of the various communities we will be organizing in Rate of pay for this position is $15.90 per hour with employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance. This role will be based in person regionally throughout Florida, and the ability to work remotely will not be available.
