About this position SeeScan, Inc is seeking an Injection Molding Process and Setup Technician for our evening shift. As part of this dynamic team, you will interface both in a Research and Development role and a production role. The Technician is a critical component of our team and will be challenged to learn new techniques and stay in tune with modern practices so that the team stays competitive and efficient. We are not seeking machine operators at this time. However, as we do operate a number of manual injection molding jobs, you will also fill in as an operator as needed. In this position, you will Set up and debug plastic injection molds using a variety of techniques, tools, resins, and molds Work with injection molding machines to facilitate the creation of molded parts Repair, transport, troubleshoot, and make parts for injection molds Use knives, cutters, and other hand and power equipment as needed to trim and degate plastic molded parts Be involved in mold repair, pin replacements, cleaning, lubricating, welding and machining of damaged or broken tooling and tooling components Keep a neat and tidy work area Be responsible for daily preventive maintenance of injection molds Desired background and experience 5+ years experience as a set-up and process technician directly involved in hanging molds and creating programs to successfully make the parts to the drawing Proficient in monitoring and improving molding process and setup for mechanical and visual quality Expert level of knowledge required in all aspects of disassembly and reassembly of injection molds and components Familiarity with Fanuc Roboshot and Arburg injection molding machines and controls About you Excellent manual dexterity Knowledge of operating principles of Plastic Injection Molds, machines and parts Ability to remain flexible with different tasks and changing priorities Strong attention to detail and able to flag potential issues as they arise Dynamic and critical thinker Eager to contribute and engage in a meaningful and purposeful way to meet objectives Collaborative team player with strong communication skills Able to take on ancillary activities as needed to support the team We Offer A position within an established company that has over 30 years of experience, growing from humble beginnings in our founder’s garage to a team of over 300 Medical, dental, and vision coverage Traditional and Roth 401(k) investment options Flexible Paid Time Off plan with no cap or “use it or lose it” requirement If this position is of interest, please apply online at with your resume and a thoughtful cover letter explaining why you are the ideal candidate for this position.
