Need to keep your kid busy or support their music learning for the summer? I've developed an 8-week independent study course to broaden the music appreciation skills for my piano students that focuses on music + storytelling, looking at music for video games, movies, and songwriting. I thought to offer it to other parents here. The course material is on google docs with links (1 assignment per week, about 60-90 minutes of effort) and if your kid wants a discussion, we can do 1x/wk zoom discussion like a Q/A office hours. The course material is for ages 10-17, for advanced beginning musicians, they don't need to know piano but just curious for music appreciation.
