This is true. But Americas dependence on oil is shrinking by the day. Just as coal powered trains were phased out to make way for new technology, fossil fueled vehicles are being phased out. The high gasoline prices are speeding up this conversion to non oil based fuels.
Me? I just received my Ford lightning electric truck two weeks ago. All electric. Faster than any gasoline powered truck on the market.
