I need a good strong mechanic who is experienced and able to work efficiently unsupervised. Need to be detail oriented, and thorough. (someone who gets the job done right the first time and does so in a reasonable time frame) Must have experience with engine swaps like this, with automatic transmissions. I need someone who doesn't need baby sitting, or hand holding. I have 2 near identical medium duty GMC step vans. They have 8.2L V8 engines. Would be similar to removing/changing a big block Chevy like a 454 in the late 80s but these are heavier as they are actually diesel. Van A has the engine already removed from it due to engine failure. It's on an engine stand. (Pictured) Now the plan is to bring the engine from Van B and install it into van A. Both trucks are parked right next to each other ready for the swap with room to maneuver. All 100*% plug n play. Work done at a private outdoor setting at my house/shop. I have an engine hoist on-site. Before the engine from Van B goes into van A we have some oil leaks and exhaust leaks to address on the engine. Some seals and gaskets. Will pay the ideal candidate competitively if they have their own tools, pays less if your use my tools. Don't apply if you don't actually meet the criteria.
