Description

52 years old here, used to playing to backing tracks and want to cut loose, free form jam, improv etc. Interested in roots music styles, walking, etc. The few experiences I've had with people I've met/chatted with from this site have been disappointing. People seem to have a strict vision of what they want to do and don't seem very open to collaboration. Or else they think they're 'all that' and have an attitude. No, you don't have skills on par with Stevie Ray Vaughn.. You're not a genius, you're doing covers of 3 chord pop songs. Get over yourself. So if you're a kind person and would like to have a musical and social outlet, hit me up. I'm 52 years old, I'm open minded, love to learn new things. If you'd like me to play something specific at least have basic sheet music, a chord progression, etc. Calling out changes for a song I've never played and starting in full speed, expecting me to follow right along isn't realistic. Unless you just want me to play root notes (which can be appropriate for some songs). You don't need a bass player for that though...just use a backing track. If you're high strung and impatient we aren't going get along. I normally don't like to lead with negatives and describe what it is I DONT want but I'm tired of BS and want to put all my cards on the table. Hopefully this ad will resonate with a guitarist/drummer that has had similar experiences and would just like to jam. I've never worked with a drummer and would like to experience that so if you're a drummer wanting to practice with a bassist, hit me up.
