Live-Out House Manager and Cook A wonderful family of seven located in Manhattan is seeking a full-time live-out house manager/cook (note – 3 of the 5 children are in college, and therefore, home sporadically). The successful candidate will have prior experience working in high-end homes. The schedule will be Monday through Thursday 1-9pm and Friday 9am-5pm. The family is looking for someone who is positive and proactive and who demonstrates initiative and a real can-do attitude. The family is seeking longevity for this new position as well. The successful candidate: Must be comfortable and experienced in all aspects of housekeeping, including: laundry, drop-off and pick-up of dry cleaning, ironing, vacuuming and dusting, and working with other staff. (The candidate will work in tangent with the live out full-time housekeeper). Must be able to assist in packing family’s belongings for trips and vacations. Must have experience managing household calendars, schedule appointments, arrange vendors for house maintenance and supervise home maintenance projects. Must be able to run errands as necessary, and ensure that inventory in the household is fully stocked and organized, this includes but is not limited to groceries, toiletries, cleaning supplies etc. Must be responsible for assuring the house runs smoothly and all items are accounted for at any given time (knows when and where things are and has an updated inventory of the items). Must be able to plan ahead and be hyper organized. Ready to learn if not familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be flexible and able to multi-task Must have excellent communication skills. Must be a team leader and be able to work as a team member as well. Must also be able to prepare, cook and serve family-style meals as well and clean up kitchen and serving areas after the meal is finished. Must like dogs and be OK with walking and feeding as needed and be able to provide occasional dog sitting. Must be COVID vaccinated, demonstrate excellent hygiene, adherence to food preparation safety standards and be legal to work in the U.S
