TOWN OF MILFORD DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR Truck Driver / Laborer Position The Milford Department of Public Works is seeking qualified individual(s) to fill the position(s) of Truck Driver / Laborer (Grade 13) within our Public Works Department. These position(s) are full time (40/hrs./wk.) reporting directly to the General Foreman-Highway and/or Director. Strong candidates must have the ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner, along with the demonstration of solid moral characteristics of being a conscientious, honest, energetic and dependable employee while maintaining a safe workplace. Duties will include, but are not limited to: the operation of construction equipment, snow and ice removal, landscaping / construction, vehicle / ground / building maintenance, paving, storm water / drainage and other duties as assigned. Candidate met be able to understand and follow oral and written directives. Successful applicant must be at least 18 years of age, possession of a NH Class B CDL is REQUIRED – Class A CDL is preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required, plus a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience within the area of winter / summer municipal road maintenance; OR any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skill and ability. Starting pay will commensurate with experience (generally between $21.00-$25.31/hr).
