In this pilot event, we will present basic information about how to perform market research using public sources and how to present this information into a market assessment. The workshop will focus specifically on market research for Business-to-Customer relationships, with information on how to analyze and present customer demographic data (Census, State Tax Reports), as well as research on Business-to-Business relationships, with information on how to find available industry and company information (BLS, LinkedIn, Press Releases).
The goal for this workshop is for participants to learn the basics of how to determine what research is needed, carry out their own research, how to interpret results, and how to utilize this research in various formats (business plan, marketing strategy, internal product development memo, etc).
