When: Saturday, July 9th, 10 - 11:30 AM Where: Smith and Bybee Wetlands Natural Area | Interlakes Trail Join LO Portland for a guided nature walk along the Interlakes Trail focusing on the area's aquatic birds and other wildlife. All ages are welcome! We'll walk for just under two miles. Parking is free and LO will provide a light lunch at the park after the event ends (around 11 AM). Please leave your furry friends at home. RSVP Required. Please be sure to look out for a confirmation email after you register and fill out the required participation waiver. The Interlakes trailhead is located at the beginning of the entrance road. There are accessible parking spaces, a drinking fountain and accessible bathrooms at this parking lot. BRING THE FOLLOWING: Sunscreen, hat Full water bottle Snacks (optional) Sturdy shoes or sandals with straps (FLIP FLOPS ARE NOT ALLOWED) Backpack to carry your itemsIf you have any questions, please reach Jon King at [email protected] A note about COVID-19 safety: We take safety at our community outings very seriously. If you have not been vaccinated, please plan to wear a mask during your time at the event. If you are not feeling well or you live with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please stay home. Anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to go home. All participants will be required to complete a waiver to participate in the event - this information will allow us to contact you in case of any COVID-19 exposure during the event.
