The Sustainable Business Network (SBN) of Massachusetts invites you to join the Solarize MA Summit which will serve as SBN’s 32nd Annual Conference on Friday, June 24th 2022. This Summit is being organized in collaboration with the `Solarize MA Coalition’, whose focus is to develop and plan specific steps and outcomes in order to accomplish the mission and objectives of the Solarize MA Project. The Coalition and SBN endeavor to achieve the goal that Governor Baker put forth of having 50% of Massachusetts energy to be derived from renewable energy by 2030. The Solarize MA Coalition is an evolving collaboration of solar energy businesses, community-based nonprofits, representatives of MA cities and towns, elected officials, and key players in growing solar panel installations across Massachusetts. These efforts are to ensure significant growth in solarization efforts in MA by 2030, with an emphasis on solarizing minority, low income, and underserved communities. -------- Key Objectives of the Summit: Build an aligned and organized movement to Solarize MA composed of organizations and leaders from all solar-related sectors of our economy. Develop a specific strategy for accomplishing the four objectives of the Solarize MA Coalition.Support and expand small locally owned solar energy businesses in MassachusettsBring together the various components of the MA solar energy ecosystem which is essential to solarize MA as quickly as possible. Expand solar energy installations in Environmental Justice communities and increase a diverse and inclusive workforce in the solar energy industry in MA.Identify funding to enable the Coalition and our partners to make our mission a reality.
