Skate Open Spaces is hosting an open skate night at SportsHouse in Redwood City. We will turn the five volleyball courts into a roller rink for the night. So fun! All ages, all abilities, more than welcome :) AdmissionPre-paid general admission price through Eventbrite is $15 (admission and rentals). At the door, general admission plus rentals is $20.Members of the Peninusla Roller Derby get a discounted admissions price of $10 for being so awesome (reach out for promo code).Skates!!!Rental skates available Sizes from 10 little kids to 13 adult (all rentals are roller skates, no blades/inlines for rent--sorry!).Rental skates are limited--we have 150 pair (sadly, we can't guarantee the sizes).We also have all the protective gear available: wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads, and helmets.Bring your own skatesWe love to see your skate setups!The floors are pretty slick, so we strongly recommend your skates have outdoor wheels (Between 78 and 85 hardness. Any higher/harder will be slippery!) Roller blades/inlines welcome.WaiverWe need a signed waiver for all participants--to be signed at the event. Under 18 MUST have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian (if you're dropping off, please plan to stay for sign in). Skate Lesson Never skated? Been awhile? No problem. We will give a beginner lesson from 7:15-8:00. Health and SafetyWe will follow all state and local Covid-19 guidelines in place at the time of the event. By participating in this event, you assume all risks and responsibilities and will not hold Skate Open Spaces liable for any illnesses or injuries obtained during the event.
