Description
Toby, a three-year-old Norwegian Elk Hound Mix, was found abandoned at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma Washington just a few weeks ago. He came to Lost Valley with a student who had been attempting to locate the owners.
Toby is chipped. The registered owner, who were contacted through the humane society, say that he was rehomed and gave a number that no one has responded to since 5/25/22.
Toby is an amazing dog! He is exceptionally sweet and friendly with people, including small children, is well groomed and in good health, understands and follows basic commands and is responsive off-leash.
Toby has been at several dog parks and is good with cats, ducks, and other animals. He is generally friendly toward other animals, though he has demonstrated reactivity toward other dogs when startled or aggressed.
We are hoping to find him a home with a loving family who will give him lots of care and exercise and help him feel safe and secure. He is a big dog (80-90lbs) so it would be ideal if we could find him a home where he will have room to roam. If you think you know where he belongs please help us make the connection!
