Description

Classes will be held on Mondays and Thursdays 8a - 5p at HFD Headquarters. Students must attend Orientation on August 1st for official enrollment. Payment MUST be in the form of check or cashier's check. Credit Cards are accepted with an added 2.9% charge. Cash will not be accepted. Course tuition is $1200.00 and is due at Orientation. Orientation is free to attend. A Q&A session will be held prior to enrollment to answer any questions or concerns. Applicants will then be allowed to officially enroll if they wish. Book fees are not included . A link to order your book will be provided at Orientation. Cost $ 297.71. Students are required to pay all testing fees (NREMT), licensing/certification fees (KBEMS), background checks, and any other fees required for licensing/certification. An itemized fee sheet will be provided to all students prior to official enrollment at Orientation. If you have any questions prior to Orientation, please contact Michael Cornett @ [email protected] Prerequisites: Individuals shall be eligible to enroll in an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician education and training program if the applicant: Is at least eighteen (18) years of age;Holds a high school diploma, high school equivalency diploma, or home school diploma; andIs currently certified at a minimum of an Emergency Medical Technician by the board or the NREMT.The student applicant shall; Not currently be subject to disciplinary action pursuant to KRS Chapter 311A that would prevent certification; Pass a criminal background check through the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) meeting the requirements of KRS 311A.050; and Meet all additional requirements established by the EMS Training and Educational Institution (EMS-TEI).Program Director: Deputy Chief Phillip Ferguson Lead Instructor: Critical Care Paramedic Michael Cornett
