Indigo Shibori Workshop

Description

For this workshop we’ll be utilizing the Shibori binding & folding techniques for creating patterns on our pieces. We’ll then dip them in our natural indigo dye vat and learn about the indigo process as well. This workshop is $55/per person —you’ll dye your own piece/s based on which item you select in your ticket. Ticket options: Tea Towels (you'll make and leave with 3), Napkins (you'll make and leave with 4), a Tote Bag (you'll make and leave with one canvas tote) or Cotton Bandanas (you'll make and leave with 2 cotton bandanas). All levels of experience are welcome—hand dyeing is a fun and curious process, so all you need is a willingness to experiment. All supplies for the workshop will be provided. Be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dye on. Min age: 12 This workshop is approx 2.5 hours — we will learn the methods, dip the pieces, wash them in house (during that you will have about a 30 min break) and then you’ll leave with your finished pieces ready to use (after they dry).
