Town Mountain THE CHARLESTON POUR HOUSE UNDER 21 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN Town Mountain El Dorodo Town Mountainw/ El DorodoFriday, July 29, 2022 Charleston Pour House Main Stage 9pm Doors / 9:30pm Show * After The Infamous Stringdusters "In The Lot" Tickets - $15 Advance / $20 Day of Show Town MountainCharming, soulful, and with a rugged sensitivity, Town Mountain has earned raves for their hard-driving sound, their smart, thoughtful in-house songwriting and the honky-tonk edge that permeates their exhilarating live performances, whether in a packed club or at a sold-out festival. The hearty base of Town Mountain's music is classic country and old school rock ‘n’ roll. It's what else goes into the mix that brings it all to life, both on stage and on record, and reflects the group's wide-ranging influences including the Grateful Dead, Bill Monroe, Chuck Berry, Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, The Band, Townes Van Zandt, The Meters, Son Volt, John Hartford and Outlaw Country. After more than a decade together, Town Mountain has proven they have staying power by regularly cranking out authentic hit albums, collaborating with like-minded artists such as Jerry Douglas, Billy Strings, and Tyler Childers and growing significantly in key markets by leaps and bounds. Fans are eagerly awaiting their upcoming 7th studio album of original material, produced by Nashville’s multiple Grammy nominated engineer Justin Francis (P!nk, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, Tyler Childers, Kelsea Ballerini). The album includes Miles Miller (Sturgill Simpson) on drums throughout, thrusting forward a decidedly country album with contemplative and witty lyrics reflective of life on and off the road before and during the Covid pandemic. Routinely noted for their brilliant lyrics, the songwriting is largely shouldered by mandolinist Phil Barker and banjoist Jesse Langlais with solid contributions from guitarist Robert Greer. Extraordinary fiddler Bobby Britt conveys the sentimentality of the well-crafted songs with Zach Smith on bass and Miles Miller on drums laying down the groove. The impression the band has made on fans is clear through their lively social media engagement, over 40 million streams, a definitive increase in merch sales, significant revenue growth on a show-by-show basis over the past 3 years and most recently a 300% surge in the last 4 months of touring in 2021 in the Covid era. El DorodoA lot can be said about El Dorodo that hasn’t been said before. We can talk about their beginnings, their roots, their lineage and their heritage, but that does not even begin to scratch the surface that is the iceberg of El Dorodo. Before the age of woefully crafted template songs that littered radio all across America, there was an age of radio and song craft that spoke to everyone on a common level. These words tell stories — stories of heartache, stories of past good times…but mostly heartache. A universal understanding of the human emotion coupled with every great sound that music has to offer, all in one place. El Dorodo is all of these things and all of these things are Country music. El Dorodo appreciates, respects and loves all types of “good” music. You may hear aspects of these different genres represented in our music. We are fans first. Our hearts lie in Country/Western/Old Time music and culture. We represent true, honest Country music to be consumed by the masses and we do so with full hearts. Our aim is to get back to the basics of love…El Dorodo is country music. * Show is 21+. Attendees under 21 must be accompanied by a parent & will be subject to a $5 surcharge. The surcharge must be paid in cash at the door on the day of the event.
