We are looking for a Class A or B CDL driver with at least 2 year of experience driving a fuel tank wagon to start immediately. Do you love driving a truck but hate the nights spent away from home? We deliver fuel up and down the coast of South Florida from Palm Beach down to the Florida Keys. Lukfuel is looking for a safe, courteous driver who has experience driving and operating a fuel truck. Our company makes safety our number one priority, which is reflected in our impeccable safety record. We are seeking a dependable and efficient CDL truck driver who possesses a hazmat license as well. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record is preferred. You must have experience in the marine fueling industry. We pay weekly and offer benefits. CDL Truck Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle Have loading and bunkering experience Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries Assist in mapping driving routes Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery Communicate with dispatch as needed and customers Confirm that the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip Check weather conditions and road reports before departure Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean Report maintenance and services needed to vehicle (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.) Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs Track and report working hours Adhere to company rules and regulations Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions Comply with ICC and DOT regulations and in-house regulations and rules Make safety a priority at all times Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management CDL Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required Hazmat license required TWIC card, port experience loading 2+ years of proven experience in marine fuel truck driving preferred Clean driving record with no moving violations Must pass a background check and drug test Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles Alert, focused, and detail-oriented Physically and mentally fit Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.+ at a time Able to operate manual trucks with different speeds Proficient using GPS and other routing systems An innate sense of direction Self-starter who works well independently Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: Between $23.00 - $25.00 per hour - based upon experience
