PLAINVIEW, NY — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022. We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Plainview so you can start planning now. Here's what's in store this July 4 around Plainview: July 4 Festivities What: TD Bank's "Celebrating America" Fireworks and Show Where: Harry Chapin Lakeside Theater, Eisenhower Park, East Meadow When: July 1 at 5 p.m. Nassau County's annual celebration of America, hosted by TD Bank. Featuring Captain Jack, a Billy Joel Tribute Band. Followed by fireworks. Rain date: July 2. What: Jones Beach Fireworks Spectacular Where: Jones Beach, Wantagh When: July 4 at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks matching with patriotic music will create a colorful display above the shores of Jones Beach to celebrate the country's 246th birthday. Free parking will be available starting at 5:30 p.m. What: Town of Oyster Bay's Salute to America Where: TOBAY Beach, Massapequa When: July 12 at 7:30 p.m. The Town of Oyster Bay's annual Salute to America. A concert followed by fireworks. Alex Shillo's Tribute to Bruce Springsteen followed by Grucci Fireworks.
