PORT CHESTER, NY — A Norwalk resident is accused of "shooting a BB gun-type weapon at pedestrians," police said.
Port Chester police said they responded to complaints of a vehicle's occupants driving around the area of the PC High School shooting a BB gun type weapon at pedestrians on Friday.
Two people and a dog were shot, with one resident suffering minor injuries, police said.
"It was determined (through) our investigation that air-soft guns which shoot a hard plastic projectile were used in this incident," police said in a news release.
Police said they were able to locate the occupants of the vehicle and after further investigation, an 18-year-old Norwalk, Conn. man was charged with second-degree prohibited use of a weapon, and he was issued an appearance ticket and released.
"The PCPD will not tolerate this type of behavior and hopefully this sends a clear message that this behavior is unacceptable," police said in a statement.
