TOMS RIVER, NJ — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022. We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Toms River so you can start planning now. Here's what's in store this July 4 in and near Toms River: What: Beachwood's Fireworks Over the Toms River Where: Beachwood Beach, and beaches in Pine Beach, Ocean Gate and Island Heights along the Toms River.When: July 4, at dark The popular donation-funded pyrotechnics show that draws thousands to the banks of the Toms River will be back lighting up the sky. Beachwood has vendors, food trucks and activities in the park at Beachwood's beach during the afternoon and evening. What: Lavallette Patriotic Bicycle ParadeWhere: 1200 Oceanfront, Lavallette When: 9 a.m. July 2 The borough's Independence Day Patriotic Bike Parade returns to the boardwalk. The parade starting point is Philadelphia Avenue and Oceanfront. What: Lavallette Patriotic Concert and FireworksWhere: Lavallette Gazebo, Bay BoulevardWhen: 8 p.m. July 3 The borough's patriotic concert and fireworks will fill the air with music and light. What: Seaside Heights Fourth of July FireworksWhere: Boardwalk, Seaside HeightsWhen: 9:30 p.m. July 4 Fireworks return to Seaside Heights this summer every Wednesday, but there's an additional 30-minute fireworks display scheduled for the Fourth of July.
