EDINA, MN — Cities and counties across the country are bringing back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022. We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Edina so you can start planning now. Here's what's in store this Independence Day in the Edina area: July 4 Festivities Veterans Dinner at St. Peter's Edina, 5421 France Ave S. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 2Fourth of July Fireworks & Concert at Rosland Park Music starts at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 3, fireworks start around 9:40 p.m.Edina 4th of July ParadeDeparts from Edina City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St., at 10 a.m. Monday, July 4 The Edina Community Foundation is once again sponsoring three events to celebrate Independence Day. The organization's Veterans Dinner, scheduled for July 2, is an event to "thank area veterans for their service to our country." The event includes dinner, music and speeches. Fireworks are returning to Edina after a two-year hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. A fireworks display is scheduled to start after a concert by the First John Philip Sousa Memorial Band. The Edina 4th of July Parade is due to step off from City Hall at 10 a.m. Due to pandemic surges, some counties or cities may adjust or cancel events at the last minute, so double-check with organizers.
