Please apply online: Pacific BMW is looking to hire a full-time (40 hours) Body Shop Detailer for our Certified Collision Center. We offer competitive compensation with benefits after 60 days. This job reports to Andrew Batenhorst, the Body Shop Manager and is from Monday to Friday from 8am -5pm. Company Overview *Family Owned and Operated since 1982 *Honest, Inviting, and Innovative Culture *Paid Time Off *Health Insurance covered at 75% and Complimentary Life Insurance *Dental, Vision and Supplemental Insurance Plans at group rates *401K and Matching Employer Contribution *Tenured Leadership Team Qualifications -Minimum of 1 year of auto detailing/buffing and color sanding experience is required -Familiarity with BMW Colorsystem (Axalta) and Sikkens Paint lines preferred, but not required -Ability to submit to a respirator fit test and pass a pulmonary function test -An open-mind, must be willing to incorporate lean processes into running the paint team, which will be taught -High School Diploma or Equivalent is required, Auto Body Painting Trade School Certificate is desirable -Current Driver's License with a clean driving record Physical Requirements Surroundings: Work is usually performed inside the shop where there is exposure to drafts, noise, and fumes from vehicles. Work is occasionally performed outside under adverse weather conditions On a regular basis: Standing, Walking, Bending, twisting and/or stooping, Kneeling and/or squatting, Climbing stairs, Lifting, Reaching and/or lifting overhead, Grabbing with hands, Pushing and pulling Infrequently: sitting Job-Specific Duties Include -Perform Quality Control checks on Paint and Reassembly work -Review work order that all tasks were completed -Perform Denib / Color Sand operations post paint and photo document as necessary -Perform Detail packages requested by customer -Further training available on detail products/tools/techniques -This position is a great growth opportunity to advance in the paint department Disclaimer: To qualify for employment, the top candidates must submit to and pass a pre-employment investigation that includes a background check, MVR, and drug testing (including cannabis).
