CAMP ELMWOOD BETTER TOGETHER” IN 2022 … SIGN UP NOW! We are complying with all CDC guidelines. No indoor activities. There will be hand-washing and hand sanitizer stations on campus to help keep everyone safe. The field trips and the BBQ is conditional on the current COVID-19 guidelines at the time of our camp events. 2022 Camp theme is “Better Together” Under the Redwoods at St. John’s you will find a place of peace and acceptance, where we value the abilities and interests of each camper and all are welcome. Camp Elmwood is a community service program of St. John’s Presbyterian Church in Berkeley, emphasizing creativity, values, and concern for the environment and others, since 1993. Camp Elmwood is an excellent adventure to end your summer! If you have been to camp, or you go all the time, campers will learn new skills, make lasting friendships, and experience a unique camp in an urban setting. CAMP SCHEDULE CAMPERS 6 to 13: Monday through Friday, July 25 through 28, from 9am to 2pm; and, July 29 (Friday) 9am to 7pm. TEEN LEADERSHIP CAMPERS, 14 to 18: Monday through Friday, July 18 through 28, from 9am to 2pm; and, July 29 (Friday) 9am to 7pm. ACTIVITIES Art, basketball, volleyball, four-square, ping pong, lawn games, music, drama, dance, science, cooking, swim-hike, talent show, community service and opportunities for leadership. We will provide the morning snacks. Each camper should bring his or her own lunch and a filled, reusable water bottle everyday. SPECIAL DAYS W E D N E S D A Y : Hike/Swim field trip to favorite swimming hole. Please have Campers arrive at camp wearing their swimsuit under their clothes. F R I D A Y : Camp Elmwood will continue until 7pm for the all-camp barbecue (free to all campers and their families) which starts at 5pm, and for an extraordinary Talent Show program starting at 6pm. The TLC will develop the menu and a list will go home with your camper on Wednesday requesting a food item to be used for the barbecue C O S T AGES 6 TO 13: $80 for the first camper and $75 for additional family members. Full Scholarships are available via the registration form. Aftercare is available Monday-Friday, from 2 to 5:30pm is also available for $30 per camper for the week. AGES 14 TO 18: Community Service hours plus a stipend!
