Carpenter Helper/Laborer

This position will provide support to a deck building crew in the form of labor and carpentry work. Job will require the movement of tools and material over 50 lbs. Must be prepared to work in different types of weather conditions. Must be able to commute. Some carpentry knowledge is recommended but we are willing to train the right people. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparing materials, tools, and equipment at the construction site Excavation of deck footers Consult site foreman/owner on construction plans Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks Operate tools and equipment safely while wearing proper PPE Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner Provide assistance to other crew members as needed Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly Requirements and Qualifications: High school degree or equivalent; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus Valid drivers license Some experience in construction preferred Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift over 50 pounds Able to work independently or as an active member of a team Excellent communication skills
