Summary: Looking for someone to write with. I'm a married 38yo male who's been playing various instruments since I was about 15. I have an "ok" collection of instruments and can record decent enough quality music for writing purposes. I've of course played/jammed with many musicians over the years, but have not found a person to write with in a very long time. Who I'm looking for: I'm going to be straight so not to waste anyone's time. I am looking for another guy to write with. I am looking for someone who is capable of sitting on an idea and talking it out for lengths of time greater than your average person. Someone who can think outside the box and who views this reality in different ways given different situations. I like abstract, interpretations not easily explained, viewpoints different from the norm, philosophy, etc. Would be very nice if this person is local to Coeur D Alene and no I don't care much if you just moved here so long as your skin isn't thin enough for me to easily get through. I have a healthy dislike for people being overly sensitive, so don't bother if you're easily offended, life is too short. I've met people who've only been playing for a year and are amazing. I've met people opposite of that. It would be nice if you have some years of experience, but I understand I'm limiting the potential by requiring it. About me: I grew up with Rock n' Roll (AC/DC, White Snake, Hendrix, etc.) and then in my teens moved to various metal genres (Korn, Orgy, NIN, Bizkit, Sevendust, Staind, Jimmies Chicken Shack (or course), etc). From my 20's to my 30's and on, my listening tastes changes quite a bit. I don't know what you would call it really, if it's recorded well, melodic, something unique I haven't heard, dark or "gritty", then there's an ok chance I'd like it. So my tastes have opened up a lot.....still don't care for Country though (one day I might get past that wall of mine, but likely no time soon). By no means is what's mentioned above going to be the "go to" for writing, just a quick history glimpse.
