Greetings one and all. Gigging singer songwriter and acoustic guitarist seeks other musicians for performances on Bainbridge and surrounding areas. Am looking to create an ensemble that focuses on Roots/folk, acoustic Blues and what is now called "Americana"music. In terms of artists that I cover, J. Cash, Van Morrison, John Prine, Dylan, Guy Clark, Hank Williams, and other like artists and songwriters. Vocalists who also write their own material are encouraged to respond as I like to incorporate originals with covers into our gig set lists. In terms of instrumentation that I'm hoping to partner with: mandolin, fiddle, banjo, acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, harmonica, resonator/dobro and or other instruments that sound amazing either amplified or not; electric guitarists who can show command of their instrument without oodles of pedals are also welcome. If however you have oodles of pedals that work and won't slow down the gig, please feel welcome to respond. Lastly, yes, I play "covers" but this is not a 70's Gold or classic rock cover band. This project is more about developing a contemporary Americana or folk sound than recreating or impersonating well established recordings, though some of the songs I cover are popular and very audience friendly, this is not a hit-parade cover band or a tribute band. Nothing wrong with cover bands but this project is about developing original material while offering homage to the greats who stoked our enthusiasm for music at large. With regards to gigs, I typically play out 3-4 times a month and have begun booking for 2023. All the best.
