Role: We are looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented service tech / installer. The ideal candidate will be time conscious, thorough and have the ability to use logic and reasoning to solve mechanical and technical issues. As a fireplace installer, the candidate will have a knack for getting the details right, understanding in electrical and gas connections and be able install equipment to code requirements. Responsibilities: Repair and tune-up supplemental heating equipment in a careful and efficient manner so that we can provide our clients with the best possible ownership experience. Provide accurate diagnosis of mechanical, gas and electronic failures so that we are making the best possible use of our clients resources. Provide and maintain clear repair records consisting of work completed, parts used and time spent so that we can provide accurate invoicing to our clients. Install supplemental heating equipment such as fireplace inserts, pellet appliances, and woodstoves in a neat and careful manner so that our clients are elated with their buying decision. Requirements: ✔️Drivers License ✔️Experience 2 or more years of heating, carpentry or similar trade experience. Skill must be able to demonstrate skill at critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to come to conclusions and approach problems. ✔️Repairs Must be able to perform repairs correctly and to industry specs. Abilities Must be able to work using hands, work from a ladder or man-lift, perform a moderate amount of lifting and be willing to wear needed safety equipment such as fall protecting, glasses, gloves and hearing protection. ✔️Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) - Always looking for small improvement opportunities that will make us better, faster, cheaper, more effective (example: automations, eliminate redundancies, improve methods) *This Job description is not all-inclusive, and certain activities, duties or responsibilities may be required of the employee as needed. ⭐️ Repair technician/ Install technician⭐️ We are looking for someone who is seriously resourceful and skilled when it comes to repairing and installing supplemental heating appliances. Electrical connections and gas pipe fitting Diagnosing and solving mechanical and electrical problems Inspecting Appliances and systems for potential problems Operation monitoring- making sure heating equipment operates correctly Daily record keeping for repair times and parts needed for repairs Service vehicle cleanliness Chimney cleaning and inspections Install or repair outdoor woodstoves New appliance set up and installation Working with us is definitely not for everyone.
