Description
We are exploring the possibility of rehoming our dear Uchi. Will only do so if we find the right fit. He's 2 years old, healthy and up to date on all vaccines (I have the records). Unsure of what breed he is - it seems he may be part Maine Coon given his size (big boy weighs in at 19 lbs!). Vet did recommend using a diet food for him and/or diminishing his food intake, but he gets quite anxious when hungry (demonstrated by meowing and circling the food area). He's a really sweet cat - great with other animals - though it is a bit harder with cats. It took him a while to get used to living with another cat but he does so quite well aside for when he is hungry / food anxious he starts to pounce on the other, smaller cat. This is partly why we are considering rehoming him. He cuddles sometimes and only on his own terms - when it happens, it's great! But like many cats, he can be kind of fickle with the affection ;) He is indoor / outdoor and loves being outside. He does love playing hard so he will often come in and bring in some debris from the outdoors (leaves, dirt, etc). We are exploring rehoming mostly due to my own personal neurosis around keeping the house very clean - he admittedly makes it difficult - along with the sometimes conflict with our other, smaller cat. It is with a tender and timid heart that I am exploring this possibility and will thus only go through with it if we find someone who is really excited about Uchi and where it seems like he will be in a home that is a better fit for him (likely not with another cat - dogs totally okay as long as the dog is good with cats - and with someone okay with his outdoor lifestyle and related debris train! (it's really not that bad if you don't mind sweeping every day, or if you don't mind a little dirt around the house). No rehoming fee. **The last two photos are of Uchi as a kitten. If interested, please write to me sharing a bit about yourself, your home / pet situation and why you are interested in Uchi. Thank you!
